Grammy-nominated Hayes Carll originally hails from Houston, Texas and currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. His most recent album, “Lovers and Leavers,” received critical acclaim with his song “The Love That We Need” named NPR’s Song of The Week, and the Austin Music Awards acknowledging his work with awards for Album of the Year and Song of the Year for his Darrell Scott co-write “Sake of the Song.” Lee Ann Womack’s cover of Hayes’ song “Chances Are,” off of his previous release, KMAG YOYO, garnered him a Grammy nomination for Country Song of the Year. Kenny Chesney recently included the Carll/Allison Moorer/Matreca Berg co-write “Jesus and Elvis” in his 2018 release. His music has also recently shown up in a number of T.V. shows, such as the Netflix series “End of the F****ing World.” In 2018, Hayes signed to Dualtone Records (Lumineers, Mt. Joy, Shovels and Rope, Shakey Graves) and is recording his new album in early fall for a February 2019 release. With momentum on both the writing and recording sides of his career, 2019 will be a huge year for one of America’s most respected artists.
