Dave Mason left Traffic in 1969 to pursue a solo career in the U.S. Dave has penned over 100 songs, has 3 gold albums: Alone Together, Dave Mason, Mariposa De Oro, and platinum album Let It Flow, which contained the top-ten single “We Just Disagree”.

In addition to cranking out hits, Dave has performed on, or contributed to, a number of famous albums, including: The Rolling Stones’ Beggars Banquet, George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass, Paul McCartney and Wings’ Venus and Mars, and Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland. Mason is featured playing acoustic guitar in “All Along the Watchtower” on Electric Ladyland, a favorite in Dave’s live shows!

Dave, a prolific artist in his own right, has collaborated with an enviable list of the who’s who in the music industry … Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Rita Coolidge, Delaney & Bonnie, Leon Russell, Ron Wood, Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, and Jim Capaldi, just to name a few.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Dave Mason and Steve Cropper, join together for the first time on one stage to deliver a night of timeless music and endless hits, performing material that defined a generation. Dave Mason, founding member of the band Traffic, highly successful solo artist, consummate guitarist, songwriter and producer, has performed and recorded with numerous members of the pantheon of pop and rock and roll music, including Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Graham Nash, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Winwood and More. Steve Cropper, member of Booker T and the MG’s, the Stax Records house band during the label’s most influential period, backing artists such as Otis Redding, Carla Thomas, Wilson Picket, Sam & Dave and Rufus Thomas and member of The Blues Brothers Band. Cropper was ranked #39 on Rolling Stone’s top 100 Guitarists of all time.

This collaboration and multi-media show will include some of each artist’s beloved and most memorable hits including, “All Along The Watchtower”, “Only You Know and I Know,” “Every Woman”, and “We Just Disagree” plus the rock anthem “Feelin’ Alright”, (Sittin’ On) “The Dock of the Bay”, “Green Onions”, “In theMidnight Hour” and “Knock on Wood”.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dave Mason has been performing live shows for more than 50 years. Music is Dave’s passion and desire, and 2018 marks a new year in his musical journey. With that in mind, he has prepared a new live show entitled, “The Very Best Of Dave Mason”, which promises to live up to its title.

 

This new, live show will enhance the popular 2017 Public Television filmed live concert and feature some of Dave’s most beloved songs like “All Along The Watchtower”, “Only You Know and I Know,” “Every Woman”, and “We Just Disagree” plus the rock anthem “Feelin’ Alright”.  The audience will also delight in some deeper tracks from Dave’s albums as well as some of his most favorite songs that have shaped his illustrious career. In addition, Dave will share photos and first hand accounts of rock stories that can only be told by the man who has walked in his shoes.

 

Best known for his soulful voice and unsurpassed guitar playing, Dave was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a founding member of the group Traffic, and continues performing as a solo artist with sold-out shows all over the world. His career spans several important rock eras, and encompasses his work as a producer, performer, songwriter, and consummate guitarist. A quintessential ‘Artiste’, Dave has collaborated with numerous members of the music elite, including Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, among many others.
